Motel Mexicola

Visited this place as we heard it was top shelf , i found the food to be quite ordinary , but i am not a Mexican food fan. However the place started to go off (in a good way) after about 8:30pm. We should have eaten elsewhere and arrived later. Probably more for the younger crowd , but as a club , it would have to rate in the top 2 or 3 for Bali..

Dobutzoo Surabaya

Dobutzoo is placed in the west side of Surabaya, at the end of G-Walk, or to be exact, in front of DS Bistro. The place is not so big, probably onl,y fit to 25 person inside, they also have an outdoor space for another 15-20 people, but since Surabaya is very hot at noon, and we are now on the raining season as well, I'm not really recommending the outdoor space for you, because honestly, I'm still sweating even I was sitting inside, that's just how hot Surabaya is nowadays.

The reason why I was still sweating even I sat inside was because generally, most of their wall is using a clear glass, which usually a good thing for a freaky foodie like me. But their position is too perfect to get a direct sunlight strike without any filter, so it felt quite too strong for me, hahaha.. #manusia #komplainterusajaneng So, my suggestion for you is : come at 3 or 4 PM in the evening, that would be perfect. :)

Sugabites Patisserie Surabaya

For the venue overall, I love Sugabites. It's big and wide enough for everyone to have their own space. The ambiance is also good for tea time and have a casual chat with your girlfriend or your lover. Their interior design is chic enough for taking your OOTD pictures and on top of if, their section where they got a giant window is great for food photography as well.

Overall, La Ricchi has almost all of the good features that really should be in a cafe. A cozy space, has an outdoor area, not too big, not too small, not too crowded, nice ambiance, cute decorations, friendly service, music, wi-fi, enough power outlets, daily bites, desserts, ice creams, great deal (they put no tax on the bill), have EDC machine, some magazines, plus a TV! Should we ask for more? :)

Thoughts

I think this place is really pretty, but only suitable for a quick bite or just a takeaway, not for hanging out or tea time (they sell very limited beverages and no heavy food).

Price wise, it's not cheap. I can't satisfy my sweet tooth here. 

The parking lot is as small as the place, very limited space.

The waitress are cute with the uniform and does the job well.

RedBack Coffee Surabaya

Redback Coffee is a very small coffee shop in the front row of Papaya Groceries Store. It's in the west side of Surabaya. They only have one coffee bar & cashier on the left side, a table with four chairs on the center and a bakery on the right side. I guess it's just not a place for hanging out, maybe if you're in a hurry but you need a cup of coffee on the go and croissant for a quick breakfast, Redback coffee can be one of your choice.

Kooffee Roof Bar Surabaya

Koffee Roof Bar placed in the middle of our lovely town, it's in Gubeng Street, precisely inside the G-Suites Hotel. To reach this place, I'm suggesting you guys to better take the road from Sulawesi Street. Well you can actually come from Panglima Sudirman Street to Karimun Jawa street and cross your way from Siloam Hospital, but I don't really recommend that. I did that before and it caused quite a chaos, haha.. I was crossing the road literally like a boss. LOL

Kooffee Roof Bar is not as big as I thought it would be. It can only fit to 35 people, but the decorations is pretty chic and it makes the place feels so alive. But unfortunately, when I went there, there were only two person in charge. The first one was inside the bar making the drinks, while the other one was running around taking customer's order and stuff. It was not effective at all as they were really busy with their tasks, they were not even paying attention to the customers itself. (I waved my hand several times, but none noticed)

 

What actually makes Kooffee Roof Bar interesting is because they have a pool with a floating duck and every customers have the privilege to take pictures on it. And since it's in the rooftop, you can enjoy the view from the 11th floor.

 

To get on the duck, you have to be pretty careful and aware, you don't want to get yourself all wet right? haha.. To make it smoother, you better take off your shoes, and you can actually use some help from the waiter. Once you landed your butt on the duck, you can let the fun begin. Don't worry, the duck is attached to a cable wire that's tied to the pool handle, so you won't go too far or even worse, fall from the 11th floor, haha.. (sorry that's actually pretty creepy)

BOULANGERIE CAFE SPAGO THE CROSSBORDER KITCHEN

Spago is a French-Italian Cafe-Restaurant (please do correct me if I'm wrong) that's not just a place to eat, but also a bakery. Why did I say French-Italian? Because when I put the words in Google Translate, Boulangerie is in French that means Bakery, while Spago is in Italian that means String. So from my quick unreliable research, I guess it's a French Bakery and an Italian Restaurant, haha.. But anyways, Spago is located in G Walk Citraland, the very west side of Surabaya.

 

  
Spago has both indoor and outdoor section. The outdoor section can be fit to around 20ish people. While the indoor section is obviously the bigger one, it has a little bakery, a kitchen, a bar, and a big space of dining hall that can accommodate about 60 people. The design interior of Spago is pretty much like what it is in France #soktau and they also put french songs on their playlist which made everything fell into the right place.

LE GRAND DS BISTRO HALL & DINING ROOMS

DS Bistro is a two floor building, just like Daily Sweet, but the size of the venue is the one that make such big difference between them. While in my calculation, Daily Sweet can contain not more than 100 people, DS Bistro on the other hand can accommodate up to 200 people on board! (and I just realized, they got "Le Grand" before DS Bistro, hahaha.. No wonder!) And the decoration of this place is amusingly pretty too, very chic and Instagram worth sharing, but still with a little touch of Daily Sweet inside.

At that time, we were seated on the second floor at the semi outdoor room because it's the perfect place to get a perfect lighting as it's surrounded by a glass wall. The thing that I noticed in DS Bistro is they divided their dining space in sections, especially on the second floor, they have two VIP rooms; the first one probably could fit up to 20 person inside, while the bigger one can do 50-70 people inside (plus a small stage for band performance). I'm sorry, I was too lazy to switch lens, so I took all the picture in this blog post with my 50mm lens. Sure the quality of the pictures look so much better, but it can't cover the bigger picture of the overall place in DS Bistro :(

Cafe ini sangat cocok untuk tempat berkumpul bersama teman, nongkrong, dan tempat cantik untuk selfie. Ada banyak varian jenis kopi dan latte di sini. Dengan tempat sebagus ini, harga makanan dan minuman di sini terbilang murah, berkisar antara 12.000 sampai 55.000 Rupiah.

Epic Cafe saat ini juga merupakan salah satu tempat nongkrong di Jogja dan sekitarnya yang sedang hits di kalangan kawula muda. 5. Baker Street 

Baker Street terletak di Jalan Cimandiri, daerah sekitaran Gedung Sate. Selain terkenal dengan bread, pastry dan cakes yang enak, Baker Street juga menyediakan rupa-rupa menu makanan yang tidak kalah menarik. Cobain Quiche nya yang juara deh!
